Purdue Memorial Union’s summer concert series runs July 6-27

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Purdue Memorial Union’s annual summer concert series begins Wednesday, July 6th and continues throughout the month, concluding on Wednesday, July 27.

Gypsy Revival, shown here with honorary member Eli Langebartels, will perform at the July 13th edition of the Purdue Summer Concert Series.

The free concerts are held from 6:30p to 8:00p each Wednesday on the Union’s front lawn. Food service begins at 5:30p. Tables and chairs will be set up, but guests are welcome to bring chairs and/or blankets.

The rain location will be inside the Union in the North Ballroom on July 6, 20 and 27, but in Union Commons on the ground floor on July 13.

The menu on all four Wednesdays will feature a choice from the grill – marinated chicken breast, hamburger (with cheese), hot dog with bun, Brat with bun, or veggie patty – for $3.75. Side dishes, priced at $1.50 each, will be macaroni and cheese, baked beans and cole slaw. Soft drinks in cans and water in bottles will be sold for $1 each. A combo of one grill item, two sides and one soda will be $6.75. Pappy’s ice cream will be sold separately.
