| Description: | France A. Cordova will mark her second anniversary as president of Purdue University on Thursday (July 16) with a gathering on the Purdue Mall.
Purdue faculty, staff and students are invited for lemonade, cookies and a chance to chat with Cordova from 3:30-5 p.m. on the mall, which is located in front of Hovde Hall.
Cordova, an internationally known astrophysicist, became Purdue's 11th president on July 16, 2007. Prior to joining Purdue, Cordova served as chancellor at the University of California Riverside from 2002 to 2007, where she also was a distinguished professor of physics and astronomy. She previously served as chief scientist at NASA from 1993 to 1996. |
