Downtown Lafayette-West Lafayette businesses taking pre-orders for daffodils for ACS

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Downtown businesses will be celebrating the arrival of Spring and helping the American Cancer Society too. As part of the ACS’ Daffodil Days fundraiser, cut daffodils will be available for purchase at businesses in downtown Lafayette and West Lafayette during their Spring Open House, March 21-22.

Advance orders can also be placed online at by selecting a participating downtown location to pick up your order March 21-22. Businesses taking pre-orders and/or selling daffodils have posters in their window noting their participation. In addition to many businesses having Spring sales during Spring Open House days on March 21-22, plans also include free carriage rides Friday evening from 6-9 pm in downtown Lafayette and a pre-Easter mini-Farmers’ Market Saturday, March 22 from 8 am – 12 noon.

Pre-orders for the daffodils are being accepted now through February 22 at the following businesses: Annecy’s, Artists’ Own, B Fit Forever, Berry’s Camera Shop, Blessed Beginnings, Blue Monday, Burton Pools, Ding a Ling, Euphoria Day Spa and Salon, First Class Clutter, The Green Door, J.E. Fields, K. Dees Coffee, Kathy’s Kandies, Main Street Cheese, Murky Waters, My Sisters ‘N Me, Randy Ross Framing, Skylight Coffee House, Spurlock’s, Two Tulips, Village Shirt Works, Walnut Street Traditions, Wells Downtown Store, and Willow Stained Glass.

Daffodils can be purchased for a minimum donation of $10 per bunch or $15 for a bunch with a vase. Also available is The Gift of Hope which is a bunch of 10 daffodils that will be delivered to cancer patients at local hospitals, treatments centers, nursing homes, and health care facilities. Daffodils are not delivered to specific patients nor are the donors’ names attached to the gift.

All proceeds from the bouquet sales will go to the American Cancer Society. Donations made to support the Daffodil Days project bring a bright ray of hope to those receiving the flowers and also give hope to those who fight cancer. Proceeds raised fund the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving research, education, advocacy and patient services programs.
