St. Elizabeth Hospice offers grief support meetings

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — St. Elizabeth Hospice will offer two 12-week grief support meetings. The group is open to anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one. The sessions will be facilitated by Melissa Nelson, hospice bereavement coordinator.

Daytime meetings will be held weekly on Fridays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in a private conference room at MCL Cafeteria in West Lafayette. The group starts on Sept. 5 and ends on Nov. 23.

The evening group meets weekly on Mondays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Lone Star Steakhouse, 405 Sagamore Parkway South in Lafayette. The group starts Sept. 8 and ends on Nov. 24.

Materials include a workbook and Understanding Your Grief, Ten Essential Touchstones for Finding Hope and Healing Your Heart, by Alan D. Wolfelt, Ph.D. The workbook is free of charge from St. Elizabeth Hospice. The book will be on loan; a $12 deposit is required. Participants may purchase the book if desired.
