Financial aid presentation to offer information for students, parents

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — High school students and their parents can learn more about college financial aid during an upcoming presentation by Purdue’s Division of Financial Aid and the Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette financial aid office.

The presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Ivy Tech Community College Auditorium, 3101 S. Creasy Lane, Lafayette. The event is sponsored by the Indiana Student Financial Aid Association.

The program will start with a short overview of financial aid basics, followed by detailed information about the process of filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Parents and students also can attend College Goal Sunday at 2 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Ivy Tech Community College Auditorium. During the event, financial aid counselors will be available to help families fill out the FAFSA form and answer additional financial aid questions.
