Lafayette Farmers’ Market vendor call-out, Feb. 23

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Vendors interested in selling their wares at the 2010 Lafayette Farmers’ Market are asked to attend an organizational meeting on Tuesday, February 23 at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers in Lafayette City Hall, 20 N. 6th Street, Lafayette, IN.

Fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, kettle corn, free range farm fresh eggs, flowers, honey, maple syrup, jams and jellies, dried herbs, baked goods, soy candles, Traders Point certified organic whole milk, Fair Oaks cheeses, perennial flowering transplants, arts/crafts, roasted coffee beans are all examples of items available at selected times during the 2009 Market. The Lafayette Farmers’ Market season is from May 1, 2010 through October 30, 2010. The Market will be open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7:30a–12:30p in downtown Lafayette on 5th Street between Main and Columbia Streets. The Purdue Campus Market, which was open for a partial season in 2009, will be held full season this year. The Purdue Campus Market will be open on Thursdays from 3:00p–6:30p and will be located in the Dauch Alumni Center parking lot at 403 W. Wood Street in West Lafayette.

The Lafayette Farmers’ Market is organized by the Downtown Development Council of Greater Lafayette Commerce on behalf of the City of Lafayette.

Anyone interested in being a vendor for the 2010 season but unable to attend the organizational meeting on the 23rd should contact Jane Ness for more information or to receive a Vendor Contract. Ness can be reached at 765-742-4044. Vendor Contracts will also be available online following the meeting.
