Purdue police seek man in connection with early morning attack on bus

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University police are seeking a man who attacked two people on a CityBus around 3:05 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 21).

The bus was at the intersection of Third Street and Martin Jischke Drive when the suspect physically assaulted two other male passengers. After the attack, the suspect left the bus and fled east on Third Street. The two victims sustained minor injuries and didn’t require medical attention.

According to the bus driver, who subsequently reported the incident to police, the suspect was a white male wearing a long, white shirt and blue jeans. He also was wearing a baseball cap, possibly bearing a Chicago Cubs logo.
