Inaugural “Feets of Hope” 5k to benefit camp for abused kids

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — On April 23, 2011, the inaugural “Feets of Hope” 5K Run/Walk will raise funds for Royal Family Kids’ Camps.  The Camp serves abused, neglected, and abandoned children in Carroll, White, Tippecanoe, Howard, Clinton, Cass, Benton, Fountain, and Montgomery counties.

The run/walk begins at 11:00a at the Tippecanoe Amphitheater. Registration is now open, and sponsors are still being sought for this event.

Royal Family Kids’ Camp is a one week residential camp, where these special children get to experience lots of new opportunities and spend the week with other children in similar situations, instead of feeling rejected and different.  Every year in our area, hundreds of children are removed from their homes and placed in the foster care system because of severe abuse or neglect.  Some of their lives may never be salvaged, but the Royal Family Kids’ Camp can help re-shape their lives and give them hope.  Royal Family Kids’ Camp is 100% funded with donations.  Royal Family Kids’ Camp is a national organization with individual, local representation in the Delphi area.

For more information, to register, or to sponsor the event, go to the events page of the Club NewTone website.
