‘Get On Board’ with College of Technology at Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — On April 16, 2011 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, the College of Technology at Lafayette (CoT Lafayette) will be hosting an event for Ivy Tech students. Anyone 18 years or older interested in continuing their education by pursing a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision are invited to “Get On Board” with CoT Lafayette.

Purdue University College of Technology at Lafayette“Get On Board” will give students an opportunity to find out more about earning a Purdue bachelor’s degree without having to “cross the river”. This joint initiative between Ivy Tech-Lafayette and CoT Lafayette will help to make a difference in the lives of Ivy Tech graduates and will help develop a qualified workforce for the future.

Participants will begin the event at an opening ceremony featuring the Mayor of Lafayette, Tony Roswarski, the Mayor of West Lafayette, John Dennis and Chancellor of Ivy Tech-Lafayette, Dr. David Bathe. After the opening ceremony, attendees can look forward to a tour of CoT Lafayette, free lunch, a mini class, a scavenger hunt, door prizes, music, information about the Ivy Tech Alumni Club at Purdue, and even a photo with the Boilermaker Special.

The reception will be held at the SIA Training and Reception Center located at 5500 State Road 38 East in Lafayette. Transportation from Ivy Tech-Lafayette will be provided. Registration for the event will take place on the Ivy Tech-Lafayette campus, 3101 S. Creasy lane and will begin at 9:00 am. The Purdue bus is scheduled to depart at 9:15 am and again at 9:35 am.
