Based on the popular television series, “CSI: Live!” incorporates cutting-edge forensic science, audience interaction and visual effects into a fast-paced production. When a crime is committed at the premiere of a Las Vegas magic show, two crime scene investigators spring into action. With the help of their supervisor and a room full of audience recruits, they will use their logic and forensic know-how to investigate the evidence and test their theories. Whether it’s analyzing mysterious gases, launching experimental projectiles, or firing lasers across the scene of the crime, the CSI team will work together to solve the mystery.

“CSI Live!” is produced by Mad Science, one of the world’s leading science enrichment providers, which delivers hands-on experiences that introduce children to a world of discovery and spark their imaginations, said Abby Eddy, director of marketing for Purdue Convocations.

Audience members are invited to attend a pre-show event, “Fun with Forensics,” at 6 p.m. Jan. 30 in the Stewart Center West Lobby, where they can learn about fingerprinting techniques from the Purdue University Police Department and see demonstrations on crime scene investigation from the Forensic Science Club.

Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for children 18 years and younger, Purdue students and Ivy Tech Lafayette students.
