Joshua Bell and Jeremy Denk Perform

Classical music superstar violinist, Joshua Bell, dazzles audiences worldwide with his poetic musicality and charismatic artistry.

A Bloomington, Indiana, native and student of the late Josef Gingold, Bell made his first recording at age 18, and today has a sweeping body of work that includes John Corigliano’s Academy Award–winning score for the 1999 film The Red Violin, the critically acclaimed Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, and Romance of the Violin, named Billboard’s 2004 Classical CD of the Year.

This exciting performance—Bell’s fourth at Purdue—will feature works specially selected to showcase his extraordinarily expressive tone and interpretive sensibilities.

Bell will perform with Jeremy Denk, himself an award-winning piano soloist who has garnered critical acclaim for his engagements with some of the nation’s leading orchestras and whose repertoire ranges from standard works of the 18th and 19th centuries to twentieth-century masters to new works by leading composers of today.
