WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University’s Student Union Board will hold auditions on Thursday (Sept. 4) for the annual production of Shakespeare in Academy Park.
The auditions will take place at 6:30 p.m. in Purdue Memorial Union, Room 263, and are open to Purdue students. The auditions are for the Purdue Student Union Board’s annual production of Shakespeare in Academy Park, which will be performed at 3 p.m. Sept. 27.
Interested students will be provided with scripts containing short clips from Shakespeare plays, similar to ones they would perform in the production, said Caylin Riley, Purdue Student Union Board’s director of fine arts.
The fourth annual Shakespeare in Academy Park will feature passages from several popular Shakespeare plays, including “Twelfth Night,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Romeo and Juliet.” Admission to the performance is free and open to the public. In case of rain, the production will take place in the Union Commons, on the ground floor of the Purdue Memorial Union.
