Purdue police investigate reported voyeurism at Harrison Hall

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University police are investigating a report of a man allegedly looking into a window on the women’s side of Harrison Residence Hall about 6:50 a.m. Monday (Sept. 15).

A witness reported to police that she was walking in the area and saw a man bent down outside the residence hall looking into a ground-floor room in which the lights were on and the blinds open. She told police that when the man saw her, he left the area and went into a nearby construction site.

The man was described as being white with long hair, possibly in a braid, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark baseball cap and jeans.

Police urge students to keep the blinds closed in their rooms and promptly report any suspicious activity.

Anyone with information can contact the Purdue Police Department at (765) 494-8221 or the anonymous tip line at (765) 496-3784.
