WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Rain caused the cancellation of the first day of the inaugural Punt, Pass and Kick Contest at Purdue yesterday (Tuesday, April 14).

Purdue students are invited out to the inaugural Punt, Pass and Kick competition. Participation is free. Students must present Purdue ID.
Weather permitting, the contest, which is open to all Purdue students, will take place today and tomorrow (Wednesday and Thursday) from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Club Soccer Field, located on the Gold intramural fields at the corner of Third Street and McCormick Road. The forecast looks promising, with mostly cloudy skies today and a high of 58 degrees, followed by sun and a high of 66 degrees tomorrow. There is just a 20 percent chance of rain today and zero percent for Thursday.
There is no cost to participate in the Punt, Pass and Kick Contest, but students must show their Purdue ID. The contest will be separated into four divisions: Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Fraternity and Sorority.
The winners of each division will be notified on Friday, April 17, as they will compete for the grand prize during halftime of the annual Black & Gold Spring Football Game. The winner of each division will receive a 2009 football season ticket, and the grand prize winner will receive a 2009-10 VIP Card. Door prizes, including autographed footballs and hats, will be given away throughout the contest.
