PUPD seek man in connection with Sunday bus attack

Purdue University police are trying to identify individuals in this photo in relation to an alleged assault that happened around 3 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 21). Police believe the man standing, wearing a Chicago Bears cap and long-sleeved shirt, could be the main aggressor.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University police have released a photo captured by surveillance video of individuals they want to question in relation to an attack of two people on CityBus around 3:05 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 21).

The bus was at the intersection of Third Street and Martin Jischke Drive when a man allegedly physically assaulted two other male passengers. The two victims sustained minor injuries and didn’t require medical attention.

According to the bus driver, who subsequently reported the incident to police, the suspect was a white male wearing a long-sleeved, white shirt and blue jeans. He also was wearing a baseball cap bearing a Chicago Bears logo.

Police are interested in identifying all people present on the bus.
