Purdue summer commencement to be shown live on TV, Internet

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Summer commencement ceremonies at Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus will be broadcast live for television and Internet audiences.

Purdue University's summer commencement ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Aug. 6 at the Elliott Hall of Music.

The ceremonies will take place at 9:30am on Saturday, August 6th at Elliott Hall of Music. The university will award 533 undergraduate degrees, nine professional degrees, 545 master’s degrees and 373 doctoral degrees.

University President France A. Córdova will address graduates during the ceremony. Anna Jonnette Armstrong, a foods and nutrition major from Columbus, Ind., who is completing her bachelor’s degree in coordinated dietetics, will provide the student response.

The event will be aired live on Comcast Channel 5 and Boiler TV Channel 13. It also will be shown live via webcast at mms:// (The link will not become active until 48 hours before the ceremony.)
