The shelter opens in the fall and closes in the spring. It is an overnight shelter only and there is no provision for daytime shelter or the storage of belongings on a day to day basis. The sleeping capacity is 27. Men and women are separated. Dinner and breakfast are served. After 10:00 p.m. those needing to use the shelter can go to the Lafayette Police Department. The Lafayette Police Dept. will call the shelter to see if there is room available. Further inquiries can be directed to the Lafayette Urban Ministry (423-2691) 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Trinity House:
This program provides long term shelter only (two to six months) and does not
provide single-night sleeping facilities. Residents must hold down a job and
pay a percentage of their income to offset house utilities and maintenance
costs. Each resident is responsible for his own cooking, cleaning, etc.
There is room at the house for 8 men and 6 women.
Lilies of the Field:
This house holds one family for a maximum of three months while other living
arrangements are being secured. It is available to families in crisis situations
on a first come, first served basis. Referral services are provided to the
family to help in meeting the families needs.
