I would highly recommend Bistro 501. We have dined there probably a dozen times and about 10 of those were near perfect. They did have a couple of off nights but almost every restaurant does. The soup du jour is usualy divine, so even if it sounds a little strange, i.e. spicy chesnut, try it!

The ambience is great but the menu is limited: no dinner salads, a few interesting enrees, but mostly burgers and pizza that you can get anywhere. Drinks were okay but no really good brands of gin were available. Prices are really reasonable and, of course, the location is great whether you're going to an event on campus or in Lafayette after dinner. I'll probably go back.

I was pretty disappointed with both the quality of the steak and the service. The steak was closer to what one would expect from an Applebees or Texas Road House, not a chop house. Despite the place being relatively slow, the service was still quite awful. Save yourself some money and go to Applebees. 2/5 stars.

Our last visit to McGraws was the first in quite awhile. We were shocked. We called for reservations and were told "none were available but come early". We arrived about 5:30 and the hostess said she "would see what she could do". The wait staff was slow to respond to the occupied table. She was friendly in a distant sort of way. I should also mention that the table was set with paper napkins. The another shock was the food which was placed on the table without comment by the waitress. The small steak was tastless and stringy. In my opinion this is not an the upscale operation that it supposes to be. The service is average at best and the food - in my case was below average. The prices are upscale when compared to the service and quality. For me, there is no reason to return.

The worst restaraunt we've eaten at in the West Lafayette/Lafayette area. The service and food were terrible. Our experience was so bad, it was comical. No manager on duty on a Friday night but our waiter did tell us he could "call the manager on the phone". What a waste!!

This is a place that has a definitely different feel than any other place here in town. In fact, it's more like something in New York or Chicago. I went with a friend and we were able to share a pizza and even had left-overs. The drinks were great and the prices were much less than you might expect to pay when in this type of more upscale bar and grill. Very great place, we'll be going back!

La Scala has a nice ambiance and service, but is not the place for vegetarians. Most (if not all) of their dishes without meat have meat broth in them which is not even written on the menu. They should have this written in dishes that otherwise seem vegetarian as this is not the norm in Italian cooking. They are unwilling to make something off the menu for a pure vegetarian, even with warning. I won't go back.

Wow! Look at all these bad reviews! What happened? Anyway, the last time I went to Bea One was... about 2 weeks ago? I didn't think it was that bad. We had a server named Nicole. She was great! The martini was too strong for me, but of course my boyfriend liked it.

We ordered bibimbop and some rolls... and they were all very satisfying and great!

I decided to drop some few lines, honestly because I didn't want people to NOT try this place because of the last few bad comments about them.

This is amazing place. Absolutely delicious. You should give it a try before anything. Seriously, we need more places like this in Lafayette. I'm so sick of same ol'fried, greasy, un-inspiring food that's everywhere.

So if you want to try Bea One, try to go there a little early. Don't walk in around the busiest time and expect everything to be perfect.

This food is real. Nothing out of a box. Even the pizza crust is homeade. How refreshing in the land of chain restaurants.

I have visited the LBC on several occasions, found the food just so so, the fish and chips weren't what I expected and the burger was quite rare. The atmosphere is nice but I wasn't that impressed. I am told that the beer is quite good though.
