D.T. Kirby’s

[ratings id=”4640″ results=”true”]
605 Main Street, Downtown Lafayette, IN; 765-429-6666‎

[Pub Food, American, Chicago-style] Located across from the Old Theater in Downtown Lafayette, D.T. Kirby’s is great for everyone and, for someone from or fond of Chicago culture, it is a real treat. The drinks are good and there is a great selection, but the food and atmosphere are the real selling points… read the rest of the review

Kokoro Japanese Cuisine

[ratings id=”854″ results=”true”]
526 Main Street, Lafayette, IN 47903; 765-742-81

[Japanese, Sushi] Kokoro has been a favorite for Greater Lafayette and Purdue sushi lovers for almost forever (or it seems that way anyway). The wait for your food can get a little long some nights, but all of the reviews say it’s worth the wait. Kokoro is located on Main street in historic Downtown Lafayette, and is walking distance from the downtown parking garage. Some street parking is available.

Lafayette Brewing Company

[ratings id=”855″ results=”true”]
622 Main Street, Lafayette, IN 47903; 765-742-2591

[Micro-Brewery, Bar, Grill] Affectionately known by locals as just “the brew pub”, the Lafayette Brewing Company has a loyal following of beer aficionados. While this reviewer can’t speak to the beer quality (just vodka for me, thankyouverymuch), the menu is much better than your average bar food. The Armenian Chicken is a personal fave. The Lafayette Brewing Company is walking distance from the downtown parking garage, and street parking is available on an “if you can find it, go for it” basis. There is a small lot across the street as well, but it fills quickly.

Scotty’s Brewhouse

[ratings id=”3671″ results=”true”]
352 E. State Street, West Lafayette, 765-746-3131

[American Cuisine, Bar, Beers on Tap, Sports Bar] Scotty’s Brewhouse is on the Levee in Wabash Landing immediately adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn and just over the pedestrian bridge from Downtown Lafayette. This upscale sports bar features numerous beers on tap, a sizable menu with a variety of entrees (most in the ballpark of $10-12), and a large roster of appetizers (include fried pickle chips, which I wanted to try, but I was dining alone and at $8 it seemed like way too much for just one person). Children, students, locals and alumni are all welcome, but be advised that the wait times at peak hours can become lengthy. Covered parking is available in the Wabash Landing parking garage. Street parking is sparse, to say the least, so don’t count on being able to find a spot.

Toscana Italian Grill & Bar

[ratings id=”2246″ results=”true”]
515 South Street (Inside the Holiday Inn Select-City Centre), Lafayette, IN 47903; 765-742-5230

[Italian Cuisine] Toscana serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, is open seven days a week, and is committed to sourcing fruits, vegetables, herbs and other ingredients locally from sustainable sources. On-site parking is available, but the lot also serves hotel patrons, so space runs out quickly. There is some street parking available on adjacent side streets as well as access to the municipal parking garage nearby.
