This is one of my fav placed in Lafayette, love their food and deserts and all the time they were nice to us. They have music and cooking classes, how can I not love it?

Does anyone have the recipe for Adeline’s scrumptious carrot dish.

Always have great food here, sometimes the service is a bit slow, but the food is worth it. Try to remember, the food is cooked to order here. They don’t have a lot per-made like bigger chain restaurants would. So be patient and enjoy your company & the atmosphere.

OK, so it was New Year’s Eve so some early plans were made. One was to try this place for dinner. Mistake number one; the rest are not for print.

With only about 1/2 dozen other tables in use at 6:30 we thought we made the right selection. OVER PRICED wine changed our mines quickly to one drink and done…. Got the menu and found many good selections and the table tried many. Now could any intelligent person please tell me what dining establishment would deliver the meals in different time zones? One person’s meal came and everyone else waited 5 minutes. Since the person did not want to eat alone, by the time all six meals arrived, see only 4 others arrived in the 5 minutes, the last was an additional 2 minutes later….the first plate was semi-cold.

OK, so bad time was quickly coming to an end. But wait the bill, it took 22 minutes to get our bill and pay it… Again two bills and the waiter delivered one and then told me he had to go to a different machine to use my debit card. NOTHING special about my card, being a working stiff, but OK another dumb reason for delays.

The real kicker of the evening was in watching the group of 6 people sit at a table for 25 mintues, watching the waiter walk past many times and not even letting them know he was aware they were there…..

SO, if you have money, time, and a poor sense of taste this would be a great place for you to waste money, time, and a good meal at.

in response to your meals not coming out at the same time. That is the point of tapas style. They are usually small portioned dishes that a table shares and they all come out at separate times. my family owns a tapas style italian place in the city and from my experience at every other tapas style place I have been to they are always like this. You order several dishes so you can try something different from each category of the menu… as for as everything else, no opinion I have never eaten here. hope this helps

Ya know what… I am so tired of spoiled bratty people! My wife and I go there when we can, never had any problems But it seems the guy whom has had a “bad” visit( to many Lafayette establishments it seems) just needs to move to a bigger city that more restaurants to slam. Cook you own food

Thought we would try the lunch buffet, walked in -there were only two others- beware if you ever see this!!! Should have known better! The all- u can eat buffet is 7.95 but you will be hard pressed to find anything on it that you would want to eat enough of to be full…it was a big disappointment!!! The good items: hummus, pork wings(small riblets), pizza(plain cheese)and toasted almonds.

The bad items:lobster bisque(tasted burnt), rice salad, wild rice(very bland -no flavor) beef cubes(pressed meat texture)in a gravy that tasted like a jarred variety, tuna salad-very odd and awful, corn and tomato salad, cubed plain potatos and some severely gross tortilla layered item- all were barely warm and of the 21 items Count olives, figs, dates and two type of nuts as a stretch…two salads: ceasar and a mix of very bitter greens. For dessert: fruit salsa, and mini raspberry churros(tasted like they were out of a box.

Our waiter was delightful, the ambience was cheesy but enjoyable and we loved the water glasses- On a side note- We were all disgusted with the fingerprints on EVERYTHING! The sneeze guard was covered with them, the lid for the soup, the silverware was dirty and the tapas plates had food residue and fingerprints all over them…NASTY!!! Needless to say-we won’t be back…ever!

Great atmosphere! Great food! Great wait staff! We had a party of 13 after the PMO Christmas show. Everyone tried something different and there was a lot of food being passed around. Some got Tapas and others had entree’s. We were there from 6:30 until almost 9:00 and we never felt any pressure to leave. We had a Great Time!

  8. Paul says:

If I am ever in this neck of the woods I would love to check it out.

I’ve been to spain, which I understand is were tapas originate, so I was very dissapointed, because I thought this restaurant had nothing to do with spanish cousine. The only thing I would recommend is the spanish potatoe tortilla. I wish the chef would really check his menu.

  10. Deb says:

We have eaten here several times and love it! So much fun to bring friends and enjoy sharing the different types of food! The staff is so friendly and informative about tapas style dining. It’s great to have something different to enjoy in Lafayette besides the steak and potatoes dinner restaurants! It’s become our favorite place to dine out!

  11. Susanne says:

We had a wonderful experience! Food was wonderful and service was fantastic.

  12. Robyn says:

Terrible. Agree with poster who compared the food to something at Sam’s club. Apparently the owner is not really sure what tapas is; the cheese plate (so-called) was served…with bread sticks. Really? I miss Maize, too. Adelino’s is one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to–and that includes small-town northeastern Texas.

  13. MJ says:

Their lunches are weak and selection is minimal. I was disappointed and will never return. I wish the were still the Maize.

  14. Michael Angelo says:

I don’t mind spending more at a good restaurant but the food at this place tasted like something purchased at Sam’s club and reheated at the restaurant. Service and setting were good, but don’t make up for bad food at high prices. I went to Adelino’s hoping to get something better than what’s available at the chain restaurants and was sadly disappointed. I won’t go back.

  15. Lauren says:

My husband and I went here a few weeks ago and had a great time and the service was fast and freindly- we had a great time! The food was good and was filling. I would recommend trying this place!

  16. Marga Snyder says:

Sure wish you were open ok Sundays!

  17. Bethany says:

The food was superb and the presentation was incredible. My guests were impressed with the family style dining. My complement to the chef.

  18. Maddy says:

Fun place to go! Love their food and atmosphere.
