The Pub is your quintessential dark, smokie, neighborhood bar.

It has excellent food, good beer on tap, and that classic tavern atmosphere that I personally find both charming and endearing. Smoking is permitted, and I applaud the owner in not bowing to the politically correct notion that a bar should be smoke free.

Unlike some of the other reviewers, I am NOT a smoker. And I *will* support this establishment regardless of their smoking policy as long as the food is good, the drinks are cold, and the atmosphere doesn’t include bright lights, plasma TVs, or a juke box full of american idols.

Food is fantastic, service is great, however . . .

I can’t stand sitting next to a table with some jerk sucking on a cigarette and filling the air with carcinogenic smoke.

Until you change your smoking policy we and many more like us are done with your establishment.

The jalapeno poppers are by far the best. May with fresh jalapenos, cheese filling, wrapped in bacon, covered in cheese, and broiled to a perfect copper crispness. For the freshness, quality, size, and taste, you’ll be surprised these things will only set you back ~$5. And to top it off, the waiting staff is excellent.

The Pub’s food is something I crave. If a little bit of time passes and I haven’t had their buffalo chicken pasta salad or their filet I have to get my fix. The atmosphere is cool b/c it is nothing like a chain and the it is a fun enviornment. It is such a nice change from the boring restaurants. The best part is that it is cheap!

In addition to the normal bar food, we love the pubs fish, chicken and seafood choices. Nearly all sauces and dressings are made in the kitchen which adds to the non-typical Lafayette dining experience. Definitely a large enough menu variety to frequent the place and enjoy your meal each time. Also fairly priced.
