LAFAYETTE, IN. — St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lafayette, Indiana will hold its third annual GermanFest celebration on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 9th and Ferry streets in downtown Lafayette.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and admission is free. There will be activities for all ages, including authentic German food, carnival rides, midway games, bingo, black jack, laser tag, as well as a beer and wine garden. This year’s GermanFest will also feature live music by Polka Boy, a German Idol lip sync contest and a $10,000 raffle. The deadline to enter the German idol lip sync contest is September 6, 2008. GermanFest is a fund raiser for St. Boniface Catholic Church. All event proceeds will go fund church renovation projects.
