LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The St. Elizabeth School of Nursing Alumni Association is seeking nominations for its annual outstanding alumni award.

The award, first given out in 2003, will be announced at the alumni association’s annual luncheon on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Lafayette. Nominees must demonstrate how they devote their life to others as a nursing professional and a member of the community.

Nomination forms are available online at www.steson.org/alumni or at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing main office, 1508 Tippecanoe St. in Lafayette, Ind.

All nominations must be received no later than Friday, Sept. 18, 2009.

Bo Kuzee-Baumis joins St. Elizabeth as Director of Development and Recruitment

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Bo Kuzee-Baumis has joined the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing as director of development and recruitment.

Kuzee-Baumis has 20 years of development experience in the Greater Lafayette area. Previously she worked in the oncology department at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She has also served as the area executive director for the American Cancer Society and as the director of development for both Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Taste of Tippecanoe.

St. Elizabeth School of Nursing information day, Oct 31


LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The St. Elizabeth School of Nursing will hold an information day, starting at 2 p.m. EDT on Friday, Oct. 31 for anyone interested in a nursing career.

The program will cover registration, curriculum, financial aid and admission information for the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Tours of the facility will also be provided.

The St. Elizabeth School of Nursing–Saint Joseph’s College Consortium Nursing Program offers an integrated diploma/bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) curriculum that prepares the graduates to become eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).

The program includes:

  • A nursing educational program based in the diploma/hospital tradition of early “hands on” clinical experiences and approved by the Indiana State Board of Nursing; and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
  • A regionally accredited college authorized to offer the BSN.

The St. Elizabeth School of Nursing is approved by the Indiana State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Admission to the school is based on the applicant’s ability to meet the admission requirements without discrimination.

The school is located at 1508 Tippecanoe St., Lafayette, on the St. Elizabeth Medical Center campus. To register for the program or for more information, please call (765) 423-6400.
