Art on the Wabash rescheduled to Sept 21 because of expected rain

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Art on the Wabash: A Local Artists’ Fair has been re-scheduled because of expected weekend rain and will now be held on Sunday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at West Lafayette’s Tapawingo Park, along the Wabash River.

The public is invited; there is no admission charge. Free parking will be available in the Wabash Landing parking garage for those attending the fair.

About three dozen area artists will exhibit at the fair and sell paintings, pottery, sculpture, glass, wooden boxes, jewelry, photography and more, said Beverly Shaw, Art on the Wabash committee chair.

“This fair showcases the incredible talents and unique expressions of creativity by local artists,” Shaw said. “It’s a day to meet the artists themselves, enjoy browsing their works and perhaps take something home.”

The fair is presented by the City of West Lafayette, with technical assistance from Tippecanoe Arts Federation and sponsorship funding from KitchenArt, The Store for Cooks.
