WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Here is an updated list of traffic disruptions on and near the Purdue University West Lafayette campus.
In addition to numerous ongoing disruptions, several will begin this week or have just begun:
- South Russell Drive is scheduled to close today through July 28 for reconstruction south of Harrison Street and north of the railroad tracks. The gravel parking lot along the east side of the closed portion of the street also will close. Access to campus buildings south of the tracks is from South River Road via Ahlers Road. - Stadium Avenue between David Ross Road and McCormick Road is scheduled to close today for bridge replacement, according to the tentative schedule of the Tippecanoe County Highway Department.
- An extensive sewer-lining project is expected to affect traffic behind the Union Club Hotel near Grant Street today and tomorrow.
- On University Street, lanes are closed until Aug. 3 from First to Third streets and on Second Street to just before the south entrance to the University Street Garage. This is also for the sewer lining project. Map: www.purdue.edu/physicalfacilities/travel/pdf/2_3_univ.pdf.
- On Grant Street from North Street to Northwestern Avenue, the far left lane is expected to be closed from Wednesday through Saturday. This is also for the sewer lining project. Map: http://www.purdue.edu/physicalfacilities/travel/pdf/n_grant_northwestern.pdf .
- The service drive north of the Engineering Administration Building is scheduled to close today for two weeks.
- Grant Street access to the south entrance of the Grant Street Garage will be closed from 7 to 9 a.m. Wednesday. Access from State Street to that entrance, as well as to the Andrew Place (east) entrance will remain open.
- Steven Beering Way will have only southbound traffic along the west side of the lot north of Ross-Ade Stadium for two weeks starting today due to a drainage project.
- Phase II of campus sidewalk repair and rehabilitation will begin today and affect various areas north of State Street, including some parking spaces.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University has issued a new list of traffic and parking disruptions on the West Lafayette campus.
1. The gravel A parking lot west of the Police Department building (TERY) was to close today due to construction and reopen in late August.
2. Nimitz Drive was to close today between Martin Jischke Drive and Gates Drive, next to the Discovery Learning Center construction site, and reopen July 7. Martin Jischke Drive next to the site was to reopen today, allowing traffic on it to reach Harrison Street, though traffic there has lane restrictions.
3. The roughly triangular grassy area west of the Mechanical Engineering Building was to receive fencing today in preparation for excavation in the following days as part of the ME Utilities site project. The area is between Purdue Mall and the Engineering Administration Building.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A crash involving three semi tractor trailers has closed part of Interstate 65 north of Lafayette, Indiana. One of the vehicles has caught fire, and State Police are rerouting traffic off of I-65 onto State Road 43.
According to an Indiana State Police spokesman, no serious injuries were sustained in the crash this afternoon.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A gas line rupture on the Purdue West Lafayette campus on Wednesday (June 18) that forced the evacuation of Wiley Hall and some residences along Russell Street has been repaired.
The leak occurred around 10 a.m. when an asphalt and paving contractor working in the area hit a two-inch gas line. Purdue University police and fire departments evacuated Wiley Hall and residences at 409, 427 and 501 Russell Street as a precautionary measure.
A crew from Vectren Energy was called to the scene and repaired the broken line by 12:30 p.m. After checking the evacuated areas to ensure they were safe, fire department personnel reopened Wiley Hall and the residences.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue police are urging people to avoid Russell Street east of Wiley Hall after a contractor working in the area hit a gas line.
Purdue police and fire departments responded to the initial call, and Vectren is currently at the scene to repair the gas line. Wiley Hall and residences at 452 and 501 Russell Street have been evacuated as a precautionary measure, said Purdue interim police chief John Cox.
