Latino Center named AAF-NCI 2011 Public Service Campaign recipient

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The American Advertising Federation – North Central Indiana (AAF-NCI), a Lafayette based organization of marketing and advertising professionals, has selected the Latino Center for Wellness & Education (LCWE) as recipient for their 2011 public service campaign.

The LCWE is hoping to gain exposure and educate the Lafayette community about their services through their campaign, which will be designed for free by AAF-NCI’s members. Some of the services the LWCE provides include: translation services, assistance with health-related issues, assistance with signing up for English/GED classes, Women’s support group, and a tobacco prevention program.

The LWCE was founded in 1999 with the mission to promote health awareness, education, integration and resource information to improve the quality of life in the Latino community. Formerly known as the Latino Coalition of Tippecanoe County, the LCWE encourages community involvement and integration. They are a non-profit organization driven by generous donations from the community as well as goodhearted volunteers.

AAF-NCI is a non-profit organization and member of the American Advertising Federation. AAF-NCI has been recognized as the National Club of the Year in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
